"I am 43 years old and have been taking Tai Chi from Master Chen for a little over a year. I started feeling the benefits almost immediately in my flexibility, balance and mobility and have lost 46lbs. I always enjoyed the outdoors camping, hiking, white water rafting but never enjoyed exercise (for the sake of exercising), so finding something I can do anywhere, anytime and that I actually want to do is highly enjoyable. Master Chen is as exceptional at teaching. His mix of east and western approaches allow me to set my own goals but also feel a sense of accomplishment."
- Tucker
"I started practicing Tai Chi about four years ago and since then Tai Chi has helped me improve in many ways. Practicing Tai Chi has helped me calm my mind and body, and has helped me find balance in my life. In addition, Tai Chi is a great physical exercise and it has helped improve my strength, flexibility, and focus. Participating in Tai Chi competitions has made me more humble but also more confident.
Throughout my years of practice, Master Chen has always been there for me. He is an amazing teacher, a true Master. He has helped me improve in every way and he has taught me so much. Master Chen has truly made me a better person, and it brings me great joy to have met a teacher like him."
- Sophia
“I began Tai Chi 3 years ago with Master Chen. I had a serious back injury and left side weakness from years of other martial arts practice. Within the first 6 months, my left side began to strengthen without extra focus on that side of my body. Now 3 years later, it feels healthy and strong again.
Master Chen is a diligent, hardworking instructor who is not only a magnificent teacher but an amazing practitioner himself. He has students of all ages and is very good at creating connection and community.”

What are our students are saying…
“Master Chen is clearly the best and most accomplished teacher we've had the privilege of studying with by far. His gentle, patient style and personality fits us perfectly. We greatly appreciate his ability to teach new forms methodically and thoroughly all the while making it fun and engaging. As aging people with aging bodies and some physical limitations, we really appreciate how he adapts his teaching in a way that allows for differences in need and ability."
– Tom and Mariza R.
“There is no way to express what a wonderful teacher Master Chen is. His skills as a martial arts teacher are truly amazing. I have been studying Tai Chi with him for 3 years and was immediately hooked from the first class. The other impressive factor in Master Chen’s work is that he has established a community of people of all ages and skill levels.”
– Terry O.
I am Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and am now 78 years old. I am still excited and enthused about our training. I find the forms provide a great tool for improving and sustaining memory. Elizabeth, a few years younger, is also enthusiastic about our practice with Master Chen and feels it has been of great benefit to her neurological health challenges. As a result of his training, her ability to move has been greatly enhanced. In addition, the training is fun and provides an exchange, both social and cultural. Both Elizabeth and I highly endorse and recommend Master Chen and his training to all.
– Jerry and Elizabeth
I started studying Tai Chi because I had an inner ear problem that affected my balance. Ultimately I was diagnosed with Stage 3 cancer and am now a cancer survivor. Tai Chi helped me through this. All through my treatments, it was essential to stay active and doing Tai Chi carried me through these trying times. Even now, when they run tests for flexibility, I am more flexible. The feeling after a good hard practice is indescribable. The calmness that comes over me is more of a need than a want which pushes me to practice harder and learn more.
